Lat stretches: The latissimus is one of the biggest muscles of the body. It can be stretched easily what is quite reasonable after hard workouts.
Lat stretches can be performed in standing, sitting, or kneeling position. Standing or sitting we raise both arms straight up. One hand grabs the wrist of the other arm which is outward rotated. Now pull this arm toward the middle of your body causing your entire upper body to make a bow in the direction of the pulling arm. Feel a stretch tension below your armpit. Intensify the stretching by slightly moving the pulled arm down toward the front. Additionally, you could increase the bow of your upper body by actively pressing your side outwards.
Performing lat stretches in kneeling position we bring our butt back to our feet hovering above our heels. Now bend all the way forward. Leave one arm on the side beside your leg. The other arm stretches above your head touching the floor. Now crawl with that hand toward the other side causing your upper body to make a bow until you feel a stretch tension below your armpit. The stretching can be intensified by increasing the bow. Actively press your body to the other side with the arm that was left on the side.
